The Vine’s Special Events

Following is a listing of events featured each year:

February

Valentine’s Day Chocolate Buffet Or the Sweetheart Sweetfest as we like to refer to it. Literally a dream buffet of high quality chocolates, desserts & pastries paired with special wines!

Winter Ale Weekend Two days to reminisce about the “best of the best” before they are gone for the year.

 March

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration – A day to enjoy ales from Ireland & Scotland.

 April -- May

Spring Bus Tour of Canyon County Wineries – Tour local Snake River Valley Wineries in the comfort of a 55 passenger bus. The day begins with an in-house tasting at Music of the Vine by one of the local winemakers and continues on to visit three more wineries and visit with their winemakers. The tour includes a progressive lunch.

July

4th of July Bash – View the City of Caldwell Fireworks at Simplot Stadium from the comfort of Music of the Vine’s amazing patio while listening to great live music! God Bless America!

August

Blues in the Park – World Class Blues in Caldwell! This high quality local blues festival is over 10 years old. We were fortunate enough to be able to hook up as one of the sponsors for this event. Each year on the Friday night before the all day festival held in Caldwell’s Memorial Park, our outdoor stage becomes the center of some of the hottest blues acts in the world. This is a must see event!

September

The Vine’s Annual Birthday Party – They said we wouldn’t last 6 months! Here we are five years later!! This is a big party with prizes, drawings, birthday cake and oh, did we mention wine?!? Sometimes we can even persuade our friends from High Street Band to bless us with their presence. A great time is had by all!

October

Oktoberfest Beer Fest – Each year around the traditional German Oktoberfest, Music of the Vine ventures into the world of German Beer. We add beer simmered brats, sauerkraut and German potatoes and at that point the only thing missing is the lederhosen.

Wineopoly Tournament – This event is held each year on Halloween Eve. Wineopoly is based on Monopoly, the classic board game, but with a wine theme. This event is part get out of the house on Halloween, part costume party, part competition (a very small part), and a whole lot of fun! There is a reason that the game has an hour and a half time limit!

November

Beaujolais Nouveau – This is a traditional worldwide celebration of the release of the new vintage of the Gamay grape wine known as Beaujolais Nouveau.  The festival rivals Germany’s Oktoberfest. The cask of wine is ordered months in advance and arrives on the day of the celebration. Meant to be drunk young, it has been in the cask for a mere three days when it arrives. Music of the Vine is one of the few places in Idaho that participates in this event!

Thanksgiving Holiday Bus Tour – Once again we are on the road to visit Snake River Valley Wineries. This time we arrive at the wineries on the weekend before the traditional holiday open houses so we can have the winemakers all to ourselves. This allows us to interact personally with the winemakers, ask questions, learn about the process and even do some barrel tasting. The event includes a progressive lunch.

New Year’s Eve Party (East Coast Version) – This could be the mellowest New Years Eve Party you will ever attend. Live music, great food as well as awesome wine and champagne.  The beauty of this party is that it’s over at 10 PM. We watch the ball come down in New York City and at midnight eastern standard time we have a champagne toast and call it a night. Happy New Year!
